Dear Family,
Thank you all for your prayers and support as we go through this difficult time with Bobby.
It means so much to both of us.
We will be going to the hospital in the morning. Bobby definitely needs to
have a procedure called, paracentesis, to remove the excess fluid again from
around his belly. A needle will be inserted into his belly and some of the fluid
will be removed. He has had it done once before in August.
I am not sure if I have correct email addresses for all his siblings. Please
look at the addresses above and if you note any incorrect & outdated ones, I
would appreciate if you would send the correct ones. It seems like it might be
a good way for me to keep Bobby's family and my family updated with info on his
condition. If there are other addresses for nieces & nephews that could be
added, please let me know & I will add them.
Prayer request - My regional manager at Nicholas Financial is trying to help
me get him added to my Blue Cross health insurance. He says it is called a qualifying circumstance. I had no idea that was a possibility since enrollment
only happens once a year. I am working with our HR Dept. now to have him added.
As wonderful as that is, we face 2 big obstacles in getting Bobby the treatment
program he needs. First, it is very expensive to add a spouse to the policy.
And second, we have to overcome the pre-existing condition, which may or may not prevent him from getting benefits for 12 months.
We know that nothing is impossible with God. And nothing is to big for Him.
Please join me in praying that God will allow these doors of opportunity to
open for Bobby, if it is in His will. We pray that the right medical personnel
and insurance personnel be called on to take care of Bobby. Let every person,
all the way from the doctor who sticks the needle in his belly, to the person
who will handle the papers for adding him to my insurance, be anointed and
placed there by our Almighty God specifically for helping Bobby.
In August, the ER Doctor told us that he would probably need a liver
transplant for survival. On that sad day, sitting in the ER, it seemed that was
an improbable solution without insurance. But now I have found out that my Blue
Cross policy does cover the expense of a liver transplant. When I read those
words, I literally gasped at the glimmer of a chance for a transplant.
Please join us as we pray and watch God's hands of grace, mercy and healing
cover Bobby. And to God, be all the glory!
Love to all of you,
Kim
